Hey there,

I'm James Brown - the hardest working man in media, or so they say.

You may recognize my work from places like USA TODAY, NPR, the PBS NewsHour, and more. But I'm proudly based right here in my hometown of Rochester, New York.

Three days a week, I'll share a few minutes of sharp, thought-provoking commentary on the media, culture, and the modern human condition. Think of it as comfort food for the mind.

But that's not all. I'll also dive deep into some of the most fascinating aspects of life that we don't talk about enough - things like our neighborhoods, our work and play, religion, customer service, and the legacy of the pandemic.

My goal is to create a diverse array of projects, blending the styles of the media greats I grew up admiring - from Bill Moyers to John Stossel to Douglas Rushkoff. With my own unique twist, of course.
