I hear this. The motto for me growing up was work hard play hard. I took that into college, I figured, the only way I could truly let go and be free is if I kind of left everything on the field, meaning I worked on the school stuff first and did my best there and then I could chill fully and not worry about a thing and be fully present. I think that works for me. I know Gabor is right here though...we are all working as a culture and a society way too much, too fast, it isn't natural. Capitalism is the art of sucking art out of life.
"Capitalism is the art of sucking art out of life."
Ain't that the truth.
I have a similar story. I was wrapped up in trying to get where I wanted to go that I forgot about building a life. I'm still working on that balance. I have an ambition in me that I can't let go of. At least not now.
I agree we all work too much but I keep finding new ways and reasons to work more hehehe.
