This message comes from Cleveland, Ohio's Index Coffee and Books on a Tuesday morning in the vibrant Ohio City neighborhood. Index Coffee is a hub snuggled in a busy, gentrifying, urban island where you can meet a friend for coffee or browse and buy and talk about books. Most of which are half off or more.

Me: Live from New York.

A stranger: Mine was like right before Will Ferrell had finished so there's like a whole other part.
I like to call these establishments, in the millions of variations of the idea, third places. My friends hear me talk about this constantly. They're not work or home. They're impromptu and planned meeting places that make neighborhoods sing and brings cities together.
These places are the ties that bind us.
What are you think? What is your favorite third place? And where should I head next?
