I'm certainly not winning (cue Charlie Sheen), but feel as though the pandemic moved me further away from being an introvert. I'd now classify myself as an omnivert. I can do the extrovert thing, but will require intentional alone time in order to recalibrate myself.
I am an introvert based on Myers Briggs. We get our energy by having quiet around us. Extroverts get energy from socializing and thinking out loud. I think that social media works well for extroverts. But I know that even we introverts have to seek socialization. So instead of running by oneself maybe a running club but it does take energy. I did enjoy going to The Little Theater and watching the Oscar nominated shorts with a roomful of people...and then talking about them. I am required to go to meetings in person now and I fussed about having to do that, until I met 2 other people I would not have connected with online. Extroverts will have to learn what introverts already know; it takes effort to socialize, but you have to force yourself to do it periodically and in a positive manner.
